Frequently Asked Questions
This is a living document page. We keep it updated regularly and add questions as needed.

“When is payment due for services?”
For all projects, a non-refundable deposit of 25% of the total fee is due at the time of contract signing. The balance is due upon completion of deliverables. Also, we will gladly work with you on making payment arrangements that fit your budget!
Detailed invoices will be given at contract signing and upon completion of deliverables. Payments can be made via credit card, Venmo, PayPal, Cash App, or bank transfer.
“What is the average turnaround time for a project?”
Once we estimate the total number of hours needed to complete a project, we then run that time against what other projects we have in the queue, a 40-hour work week, and any upcoming holidays/conventions/etc to give you an accurate, estimated delivery date.
You will be provided with the delivery date at contract signing. We do accept rush projects on a case-by-case basis (2-week turnaround) for an additional fee.
“Do you accept AI-generated content?”
The simple answer to this is absolutely not. We can’t help you find your voice as a creator if you are using a computer-generated voice to get started. We encourage all creators to use the ingenuity, passion, and joy that you already possess, and that lit the spark of creation that brought you here in the first place.
You are good enough all on your own!
“What software do you use for editing?”
- Microsoft Word w/ Track Changes (preferred)
- Google Docs w/ Suggested Edits
- InDesign
- Adobe Acrobat
- PerfectIt 6
“What style guide and dictionary do you use?”
Here are just some of the books in our arsenal:
- The Chicago Manual of Style, 18th Edition
- Merriam-Webster’s Collegiate Dictionary, 12th Edition
- Merriam-Webster’s Thesaurus
- Merriam-Webster’s Dictionary of English Usage
Note: If you have an in-house style guide, we will gladly implement it on your project.
