1) Total package
From soup to nuts! When you choose the Total Package Edit, you will get 1 round of developmental editing, up to 2 rounds of copyediting, and a final proofreading* before going to publication. We will work with your artist/photographer to ensure words and visuals blend seamlessly. We will be with you 100% of the way. As a bonus for this package, we will also include our Beta Reading service at no additional charge.

2) Developmental Editing
Developmental editing is the editing of your book from a reader’s point of view. We read the entire manuscript cover-to-cover once as a reader and then go back with an editor’s eye for a deep dive to discuss the overall theme and structure. This editing service is particularly helpful if your craft book includes personal essays or other long-form writing. You’ll get notes and suggestions throughout your manuscript, along with an extensive editorial letter, to make it the most engaging, pleasurable reading experience possible.

3) Copyediting/Technical Editing
For creative project books of these types, we combine copyediting and technical editing. For this level of editing, we’ll discuss your writing on a sentence and paragraph level. We make sure that your recipes have accurate measurements and the steps of your crafting projects are thorough and easy to follow. We’ll look for clarity, consistency, wordiness, passive vs. active voice, and more along with the basics of spelling, punctuation, and grammar.

4) Proofreading
This is it, the last chance to make sure all the i’s are dotted and the t’s are crossed. This is the last step before going to publication, so we only offer this service on projects that have already been, at least, copyedited.
